Introduction	Deborah “Mickey” Lord is the Director of Organization Development and WorkLife for Syracuse University. She is responsible for organization development, management and employee development, recognition programs and a consortium of human resources activities that fall under the heading of WorkLife. With more than 20 years of human resource experience in the energy, retail, and higher education sectors, Mickey has a strong background in job analysis/assessment on mid-level management positions, succession planning, and competency model design. Mickey holds a B.A. in theatre arts from the University of West Florida, an M.A. in policy studies and business from SUNY Empire State College, and she is currently pursuing a second masters in IDDE at Syracuse University.
