| Introduction | Sean just got his masters at UCI, and he deserves a big vacation. After pondering over Iceland or a road trip, Sean decided that he needs to explore the US while he has the time to do it. So here we go! |
| Interests | For this trip, we are interested in Yosemite, Zip Line at Lake Tahoe, Portland, Yellowstone (Jackson Hole), Crazy Horse Monument (skrew mt rushmore - when this baby finishes IT will be the largest monument!), Badlands, The Corn Palace, Minneapolis - Walker and Museum of Questionable Medical Devices, Wisconsin Dells, Chicago, Pictured Rocks, over the mackinaw bridge, Johnny Appleseed Museum, OHIO (bonfire)!, falling water, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, Arcadia (Bar Harbor) Maine, Museum of Bad Art in Boston, Storm King & Dia Beacon in Mountainville & Beacon NY, Mutter Museum in Philadelphia, Down the Blue Ridge Parkway into the Smoky Mountains, To Robin's in Rock Hill South Carolina, The deep south, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi (where Sean was born), Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell, White Sands, Tucson, Phoenix, Arcosanti, Vegas (was just thrown out there by sean at the very end)... We are planning on getting to most of these, but at any moment plans can change. |
| Favorite Movies | Sean enjoys Comedy (Idiocracy) and April gravitates to what Sean has coined DFD's - Dysfunctional functional family dramas. Truly April likes French new wave. we don't get along on this one, but that's okay because there wont be much movie watching on this trip (but just in case, April has Fahrenheit 451 on her iPhone |
| Favorite Music | during the road trip we will be blasting tunes by Cat Stevens, Clap your hands and say Yeah!, the Cure, David Bowie, Detroit Cobras, Hot Chip, Johnny Cash, Mamas and the Papas, Queen, ratatat & the velvet Underground... April is going to add lots of 80s and clasics such as Zeppelin, Dylan, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Simon & Garfunkel, Tom Petty, Sean will be throwin in some tortoise, Elliott Smith, and audiobook after audiobook. Pandora will be a key player in this trip |
