| Introduction | I'm just a simple guy from Texas. I grew up around the San Antonio area and spent a lot of time running around in the woods as a kid. Due to finances, or my family's lack of them, big game hunting was a very rare opportunity that occurred only at the invite of someone else. None of the folks that occasionally invited me ever bow hunted so that was never an opportunity. Still, I would hold on to any image of Fred Bear or Howard Hill. That was later to be followed by Ted Nugent and his Outdoor Channel contemporaries. I've spent a bit of time doing, as they say in spanish, Un poquito de todo, which translates to "A little bit of everything". A quick run over the higher points (those that didn't involve washing dishes or operating a shovel): I've run as an EMT on the ambulance, served as a US Navy Corpsman with the Marines during OIF in 2003 (That's where Doc comes from), worked as a Surgical Nurse in the civilian world and as a Health and Safety Adviser all over the world for oil companies. I'm the father of two fantastic kids and married to the, absolute, woman of my dreams. Now, I'm trying my hand at writing and feeding my family from Gods Grocery Store. |
