| Introduction | I am just a regular guy. I like to hang out with my friends, go watch action movies, play cricket and table-tennis when I can, cook as often as I can, and just generally enjoy myself, most of the time. I work hard but I don't play hard. I'm a softie about things I consider unimportant but I tend to be very inflexible about the things that do matter to me. Overall, I'm about the only one who thinks I am special and that's OK with me. If everyone thought I was special that would make me a little less special, wouldn't it? |

| Favorite movies | Payback (the Mel Gibson one), The Replacement Killers (English version, not Chinese), Black (Rani Mukherjee & Amitabh Bachchan), Kanku (Gujarati movie), Shantata: Court Chalu Ahey (Marathi movie), and Ne Le Dis a Personne (French with English sub-titles). |
| Favorite music | Indian Classical, particularly tabla and sitar duo (Zakir Hussain & Ravi Shankar are pretty good). Country Music (Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and other mainstream artists). Abba, the Beatles, The Eagles (not strictly country, you know), and The BeeGees. |
| Favorite books | Favourite yet read only once: Upanisadas. Favourites read multiple times: All Tolkien books, all Robert Jordan books, all of the Dune books, all of the Lloyd Alexander books, Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" books, all of Poe's stories, some of Hemingway's novels, and most of T.S. Eliot's poetry and most of William Shakespeare's plays. |
