Introduction	I am Visiting Assistant Professor of Global Studies at St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas. Between 1st June and 25th June 2011 I am leading students on a study abroad trip to Cape Town, South Africa. This builds upon the work which I did, with Dr Myhr, last year teaching students about modern day slavery. I am North American Ambassador for the Consortium for Street Children and helping street children around the world is of great importance to me. In Cape Town we will be working with street children who are now helped by the Pegasus Children's Trust through collaboration with The Salesians Institute and the Zip Zap Circus.
