WolfberryPress Circle
My blogs
| Introduction | WolfberryPress Circle is dedicated to the wonderful children who are in my writing classes. This blog is a showcase of their writing abilities and their creativity. As for me, I love teaching children and young people and have worked in secondary schools, refugee schools and homes. As an educator, I try to draw out the gifts that are already latent within each child. Other than writing book reviews and articles for a mag, I also write short stories and poems. In 2011, my children's novella, Kingfisher, was shortlisted for the Asian Scholastic Book Award. My creative work has appeared in the following anthologies. • Poems By the Wayside. Selangor: KRC, 2004. Print. • Red Dates. Readings :New Writing from Malaysia, Singapore and Beyond Sharon Bakar, Bernice Chauly (Eds ). 2012. Though I find it a challenge to write in the midst of homeschooling, parenting and managing everything else in between, I can't imagine not writing. So, I try to celebrate the wonder of being alive, praying that this thankfulness will be reflected in the way that I live, teach and write. |
