| Introduction | If you are inspired by the images and ideas of a home decorating style that mixes old with new, elegant with worn and modern with time-honoured pieces then you will love J'Adore Shabby Chic. I personally became enamoured with the style after ending a relationship where it had become impossible to tell who or what had less personality, my boyfriend, or the Ikea furniture that furnished our apartment. I vowed to myself to only have things that inspire me, including people, in my new digs. I am applying the passion-test not only to my furnishings, but to my friendships, lifestyle choices and jobs, as well. I am exploring the idea of whether it's possible to have a life that includes only things I am passionate about, where I value myself for the same reasons I value my shabby chic treasures, because they are unique, well-loved and imperfect.
