Introduction | I am a little old lady in tennis shoes--well, not so little, and I prefer Birkenstocks--who as an Army brat lived in various places in the USA and Europe but is pretty stationary now. I'm a writer wannabe (two short stories published in anthologies to date) and am owned by two cats, Sethra and Aliera. I'm new to blogging, and I expect it to go out of fashion very shortly, because every time I finally adopt a new technology or gimmick, it immediately becomes obsolete the following Tuesday. |
Interests | SF, fantasy, mysteries, Regencies, romantic suspense, language, puns, cats, and collecting moles (the critters, that is), including illustrated editions of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS. |
Favorite movies | Not much of a moviegoer, but I love some of the classics: MY FAIR LADY, THE COURT JESTER, HENRY V (both the Olivier and Branagh versions), and movies where stuff gets blown up spectacularly (usually with Bruce Willis or Sly Stallone around somewhere). |
Favorite music | Folk music, especially Celtic; medieval, baroque, and Romantic instrumental music, and much of the stuff I came of age with in the sixties. |
Favorite books | Much too long a list. William Horwood's DUNCTON WOOD, the root of my fascination with moles; THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, Dorothy L. Sayers, Rudyard Kipling, J.D. Robb, Richard Mitchell, Mercedes Lackey, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams, Anne Bishop Have I confused you sufficiently? |
When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
What do my cats really think of me?
