| Favorite Movies | My latest and favorite movie is "Music of Strangers, " a documentary about Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble. You should also see "Departures, " a Japanese film that is beautiful beyond words. Another wonderful film is "Soloist" which is a film combining issues of homelessness and giftedness. "The hundred foot journey" is another delightful movie about aspiration and growing respect across culture. Oh, and for an uplifting story about the transforming influence of education, try "The three idiots, " a wonderful Indian movie that portrays rising above the confines of traditionalist education paradigms. |
| Favorite Music | I'm nuts about Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Piazzola, Gershwin, some Broadway shows, and some New Age. |
