| Introduction | Born in a family of distinguished writers at Dharwad, Karnataka, Chandru is not only an avid sports person but one of the few popular Sportscasters in Kannada. He is a highly sought after Radio/TV commentator, writer, sports analyst and anchor based in Bengaluru. He works in the State Bank of Mysore and has been recognised for excellence in customer service many times. He is an avid practioner and teacher of Yoga and Pranayam. Chandru graduated in Statistics and Mathematics from Karnatak University Dharwad. He is fluent in Kannada, English and Hindi. Besides writing several articles in leading publications in Karnataka he has also translated into Kannada, a biography of Rahul Dravid the Indian cricketing legend. ("Karnatakada Kanmani- Rahul Dravid", Nagashree Book House, 2003) He has interviewed more than 120 international players. He had a distnguished career as a cricketer in his youth and played for Karnatak University, South Zone Universities' Team, Karnataka Under 22 team, State Bank of Mysore First Division Team. After his retirement from playing cricket he successfully managed the SBM team that won many laurels. |
