You've got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished?
Since I have no knowledge of the alien tongue (Romulan I suspect), then I'm screwed. My pitiful means of communicating would consist of hand motions and stressed vowels. Most likely, these aliens will not be friendly and interpret me as a threat. I will be stunned by the phasers taken from the Enterprise. I mean, Kirk has to loose once in a while. Or just their exceptional Romulan technology.
