| Introduction | "Hummy Hoo": Affectionate term for Mom, coined by my son J. I am a single mother of two young boys, called "J" and "B". I was married for 3.5 years, and have been single for almost as long. For most of my life, I have thought I was somehow innately flawed and inadequate. My post-separation recovery has focused primarily on the opposite assumption, that I am innately worthy and lovable. I know that by having a higher respect and more love for myself, I'll attract a partner that is equally respectful and loving of myself. I have always loved to journal, and love the concept of sharing my most intimate thoughts in this forum. I benefit both from writing and reading my past posts, to see how I've struggled and grown on my journey. I don't think my journey is any different from yours. I know that we all struggle and have our own complicated lives to balance. I am a lifelong learner, and I'm always on a path to greater self-discovery. This is who I was, who I am and and who I will become! |
