Introduction	I am currently teaching students with mental retardation and other disabilities. I have 14 years experience dealing with physicians, hospitals, and state agencies for the mentally ill. I was also blessed to have a physician for a father who poured his knowledge into me until he passed away one year ago. I am currently enrolled in a graduate level forensic psychology program. I hope to be involved in determining competancy to stand trial and evaluating whether a person was in their right mind when a crime was committed. I also hope to change public perceptions and change public policy where the mentally ill are concerned. I am a Christian and I have relied upon my faith to pull me through those difficult times in my life where I had lost hope. With God, all things are possible.
