| Introduction | Katharina graduated in 2012 with a first class honours degree in Illustration from University of Westminster. She currently works in Bristol as a freelance illustrator and is a member of the Drawn in Bristol illustration collective. She creates detailed and intricate drawings, mainly inspired by environmental concerns. "I am passionate about the natural environment, how we as people interact and affect it and the consequences this has upon us and our surrounding environment. The ocean has provided as a large inspiration for my illustrations, particularly relating to pollution, plastics and fishing policies that are affecting animals and people alike." Katharina enjoys experimenting with printmaking and is currently selling hand printed products such as t-shirts, totes and digitally printed silk scarves. She has curated and exhibited in Bristol and the UK and has had her work published in a book available at Amazon bookstore and at the Welcome Institute, London. |
