| Introduction | Age 82, still active pilot 2000 hrs single-, multi-, commercial, CFI, Instr.; also author of Goodbye Beautiful Wing, just published eBook of true story (expose') of the first nuclear bomber competition post-WWII. Also amateur aircraft designer of O'Neill Model W, Magnum Pickup V8, and builder/modifier of Waco Aristo_Craft, Mitchell B10, Dragonfly, and Lancair 235/320; and 15+ years as Experimental Aircraft Association Technical Counselor and Flight Advisor. Married 55 years to Cynthia W., retired teacher with two Masters degrees, and now an Elected Annuitant member of Illinois Retired Teachers board of directors which controls investing $30+ billion of pension funds very successfully; six children all with college degrees, four with graduate degrees -- four in engineering, one patent lawyer, a speech pathologist, and a teacher-writer... living in LA, Prince George BC, Edwardsville IL, and Longmont CO... whom we visit by flying in our little Lancair. Still working on a state-of-the-art experimental aircraft design I started in 1985.lol |
