| Introduction | It is a matter of fact that I am the most wretched sinner that I know -"wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!" God in His Sovereign, effacacious grace saved me by giving to me repentance and faith in the truth as it is in Jesus, and by that, imputed to me Christ's righteousness, in which I now progressively live and rejoice; and I would continue awry, if I did not also mention God's gracious call upon me to herald His Gospel, and God's help-mate for me, the wife of my youth, Jenny, the love of my life whom God uses to teach me so much.
