| Introduction | I received my Ph.D. in 2018 from the Indiana University in the Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies Program. I conducted research on the effectiveness of visitor-centered, two-way interpretation through dialogue in both formal programs and informal encounters. In August 2016 I began a full-time position as Lecturer in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology at Indiana University. During the summers of 2016 and 2015 I worked as a Park Ranger at Mesa Verde National Park. I worked as a Park Guide at Lincoln Home National Historic Site in 2012. I spent much of 2011 as a Park Ranger-Interpreter at Zion National Park and the winter of 2010/2011 volunteering at Hovenweep National Monument, all truly special and magical places. I have also worked at North Cascades National Park, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, on the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and as a university partner in the NPS Social Science program in the Washington Office. spent 2005-2010 as Education Director at a non-profit residential environmental education facility in Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. When I am home I volunteer at the Michigan City Indiana Old Lighthouse Museum. |
