| Introduction | Male, long term cohabitee with an equally long suffering female. Academic background and professional work life was in mechanical engineering. Then in early 2001 a career change to running a business in the 'great' outdoors. Life is currently interesting and good. |
| Interests | If I'm interested in something, I'll aspire to be reasonably proficient at it or gain some depth of understanding. If I have no interest in something, I'll weigh up the negative consequences of this disinterest and move on, Arts and artists usually fall in the aforementioned disinterest. I'm interested in photographing the countryside, woodland and ancient places respectively. |
| Favorite movies | Given the choice I'd rather watch a wood burning stove, pure therapy and never the same flame twice. |
| Favorite music | Radiohead, Clash, Arcade Fire, Pink Floyd etc |
| Favorite books | Catch 22, anything by Terry Pratchet and Bill Bryson. New naturalist series, which never ceases to expose my ignorance and answering questions I never even thought of asking. The odd novel IF I can get past the first 20 pages without losing the will to live. |
