Introduction	I'm a volunteer member of a group seeking to stop Jose Figeroa's deportation. I live in New Westminster BC. When I read about Jose's case in the newspaper I was shocked that someone like Jose, who is an upstanding citizen of Langley, BC, living for so many years with his family; and who worked as a youth to speak out about the death squads in El Salvador would be deported, when there was no evidence that he had done anything wrong. After reviewing his immigration board transcript and news coverage and meeting and speaking with Jose and others I was firmly convinced that it was obvious the Canadian government was committing a grave injustice by ordering Jose deported. I contacted Jose's church, mentioned in the news artice, to see how I could help and from that point met some other people also outraged at the Canadian governments decision to deport an innocent man.
