| Introduction | In June 2008, Mike and I left behind our life and work in cold, wet, grey England, initially to crew our yacht, a Privilege 435, in the British Virgin Islands. Having made the break we decided to sail a bit further afield and on 6 January 2010 we started the World ARC, a complete world circumnavigation, which we completed on 16 April 2011. Moving between England, Spain and the Caribbean for a year, we then decided to embark on another sailing adventure - the east coast of the USA. For someone who doesn't swim well, hates sea water, the feel of sand sticking to her, mosquitoes and heat, it was quite a ride! We then sold the boat and tried our hand at property renovation ..... |
