| Introduction | I've always dreamed of traveling across the USA in a pickup truck. For years Bruce and I and our kids tent camped, mostly on the East Coast, but sometimes in the Rockies or at the Grand Canyon. When Bruce retired 4 years ago we bought a used 2000 Roadtrek 190 Popular and took to the roads (at least during Summer vacation). We explored the Maritime Provinces for 2 months one year, the Northern Plains states and the Pacific Northwest another. Last year we joined 2 other couples to travel to Alaska. When I retired this October, we were finally free to follow our long-time dream. On December 5, 2008 we left Philadelphia, PA to wander the roads and byways of the USA, Mexico and Canada for eleven months. The adventure begins! |
