| Introduction | Art is passion, creativity is my life blood, my link to Source. Working with fabric is like sculpture. I work on the floor because I need the space. One day I’d like to teach because I love connection and because sewing can be so overly complicated, and it doesn’t have to be. What inspires me? Putting my stuff out in public and seeing the response. Becoming friends with the people who buy my work. Seeing my clothing on the dance floor. A problem to resolve. Being alone. My beautiful sons. Being curious. The feeling of fabric. Seeing the divine in the mundane. Being part of the living fractal. There is more to it than fashion. It’s 'guerilla clothing' or 'antifashion'. To me, fashion is an industry, mass produced clothes made cheaply somewhere else and worn for a season then tossed. My clothes – are made by me, in my messy studio under my house. I want Beautiful Chaos garments to become favorites, to be worn until they fall apart. |
