| Introduction | Born in the near aftermath of Uganda's third civil war, Surumani Manzi is a writerly and (emeritus) performance poet, who infrequently assays into the short-story—pending an imminent full-scale assault on the novel(la). He earned his high-school diploma at Ntare School in Mbarara, matriculating to Makerere and Kyambogo Universities where he studied Construction. Surumani is a member of the Lantern Meet of Poets—a Kampala-based literary congress of reckonable repute—where he discusses, peer-reviews and occasionally publishes his work. For his creaturely comforts, Manzi provides private consultancy in building design and construction. |
