| Introduction | I started riding and racing at UMass in the late 80s. After racing for 9 years and acheiving the status of Cat 3 Pack Fill, I "retired" to spend more time on other hobbies, especially music. After a few years off the bike, a friend asked me if I would announce at a race he was promoting so I set up my band's PA system and did the best I could. That was about 12 years ago now and I have gotten way better at announcing than I ever was at racing. This year I will announce at about 25 events including road, cyclocross, and charity rides.
