| Introduction | Frank Thanh Nguyen was born in Dalat, South Vietnam, from a large family where his father and uncles all served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He spent most of his childhood and high school years in Saigon while the Vietnam War raged through the country. After the fall of South Vietnam to the Communists in 1975, he spent the next two years trying to escape the new brutal regime. He got arrested and sent to several labor camps. In 1981, he was released and successfully escaped the country and reunited with his family in the US. He went to college and earned his master’s degree in computer science. He has since worked for many high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley, specializing in software development and leadership for more than thirty-five years. He is married and has two sons. Frank Nguyen spent much of his spare time reading, writing, and playing for the Mystery Box band, a local amateur rock band. |
