IntroductionMy mother taught me to sew when I was about 10 and I sewed sporadically until I reached my 20's. I really enjoyed smocking dresses and doing heirloom sewing techniques for clothes for my daughters. Finding my first Sasha doll at a garage sale about 12 years ago rekindled my interest in sewing since my girls were grown! I enjoy using vintage baby clothes, linens, tea towels and any other vintage fabrics I can find to make one-of-a-kind clothes for Sasha and her siblings. I think the quality of the older fabric is so much nicer than what can be found today, plus the handwork on the pieces is usually beautiful! I also make shoes, boots and sandals for the dolls.
