About me

Introduction I first formed an interest and started drawing when I was 18 and specifically began to focus on traditional Japanese art starting my fourth year in college. I graduated from the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in Japan and drew until the age of 30. In my home country, I continued to submit my work through a traditional Japanese art group called Soga-Kai. After immigrating to the U.S., I took on a job with a company, but never forgot my passion for art. I have started pursuing art again through the usage of oil and acrylics since 2005. However, because I am accustomed to using traditional Japanese art materials, I'm looking to blend the two styles, incorporating the techniques I've learned in Japan with the medium I currently use.
