Introduction	The CDA began in 1978 and was inducted in 1981 and the 100th chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters (SDP). Like the SDP it is our goal to maintain a high quality decorative art standard, to stimulate interest in decorative painting and to provide information about activities in the field of decorative painting. The CDA achieved this through business meetings held every month (starting in January) with the Paint-ins held every second month (starting in February), the Seminars we hold, the library we maintain and our community involvement.
