Introduction | I am married to a pretty great guy! I am the mom to a wonderful daughter who is a terrific mom to our amazing grandchildren. I taught elementary school for several years. I would love to find a research job that I could do from home. I love connecting with people, both in person and on the Internet. I love hanging out at www.discusscooking.com. I enjoy Facebook and Tweeting at Twitter. I love to write and will someday finish the book I am writing if enough people kick me in the rear! |
Interests | In no particular order (but the most important two are last), cooking, sewing, reading, movies, watching too much TV (lol), ebay, computer, puzzles (word and jigsaw), making jewelry, playing with our dog and cats, doing things with my husband, and spending time with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids. |
Favorite Movies | While You Were Sleeping, Gone with the Wind, almost anything with Tom Hanks, Braveheart, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, The Ten Commandments, Mildred Pearce, A Summer Place, Against the Wind (Australian mini-series), The Holocaust (mini-series), Centennial (mini-series), Titanic, Armageddon. I love most types of movies--drama, adventure, comedy, teeny-bopper girly girl movies, horror, some movie spoofs (Airplane, etc.), romance, deep-thinking movies, mindless fluff, old, new. |
Favorite Music | Country (contemporary as well as some classic), Christian (contemporary as well as old-time gospel), oldies, some classical. I like pretty much everything except heavy metal, most jazz, and most rap. |
Favorite Books | The Bible. Pretty much anything by MM Kaye, John Saul, Stephen King, Laura Ingalls Wilder |
If there's no I in team, why is there meat?
Team backwards is, of course, meat. This is to remind the team members what to bring to the team potluck dinners. :)
