Introduction	I have always been interested in exploring different cultures. As a visual journalist, I observe everything that happens around me. I was born in Lima, Perú and moved to the United States in 1994. It took me 10 years to decide to become a “United Statean.” I hold both nationalities and enjoy the lifestyles of both countries despite the cultural differences. For us immigrants, it’s not an easy task to leave our place of origin. Sometimes I feel I live in two places and always try to bring the best of both cultures into my life. At present, I live in Chicago and teach journalism and design at Columbia College.
