Introduction | With 30 years’ experience working in Scottish horticulture my career has been varied working as a head gardener in private gardens and a museum garden, in nurseries, garden centres and creating my own two-acre garden over 15 years. I have a long love of gardening and grew up surrounded by family who gardened. I especially like plants that can be used for cooking and creating. I love to explore, experience life, visit places and visit gardens all over the world, bringing back ideas and plants to try at home in Scotland. Now I am between personal gardens having left my two acre garden three years ago. We are renting for a while until we find the perfect place but in the mean time I have somehow ended up owning my own nursery in the Scottish borders. Not sure how that happened as it’s something I always said I’d never do. It is rather cool being my own boss, creating a lovely place for people to visit and take away ideas, be inspire and buy plants that will be right for their garden or problem area. I hope you enjoy my gardening blog. All photos are my own unless otherwise stated. |
