Introduction	I am a retired educator with 35 years of service at a major University. Most of my academic career was spent teaching and doing research with the exception of a 12 year period when I was the administrative head of my department. I have always enjoyed working with young people and have an innate desire to learn something new every day. My time today is focused on activities involving family, friends, and Church. My wife and I are at an age when we have few relatives other than our immediate family. We have two grown children and six adorable grand children. We love to spend time with our kids but find that they are often busy pursuing their own lives. We are blessed to have many good friends, but much of our efforts today center on serving others. We spend an average of sixty days a year in the mission field where we work to provide primary eye care for those far less fortunate than ourselves. This work has been most rewarding. It has been a joy to see God’s hand at work through the efforts of so many. These have been truly life changing experiences.
Favorite Movies	Most any movie with Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts or Meg Ryan.
Favorite Music	Any "old time" rock and roll.
