| Introduction | I am a wife and mother. Our daughter had a prenatal (in-utero) stroke determined hours after being born. She will be turning two in June of 2009 and has made an amazing recovery. She technically has left hemiparesis but with physiotherapy it is now so minimal it is hardly worth mentioning. She is developing as a typical 2 & 1/2 year old should. This blog is about our daughter, Gabriella, and our journey through parenthood. It is a way for us to communicate Gabriella's milestones with our Family. It is a way for me to vent and share my feelings with other blog families who are going through similar experiences. It is a way for us to spread awareness of Prenatal Stroke. And last but not least; it is our hopes that by sharing our story with "blogland" we can help and be a resource for other Families (as many other "bloggers" have been for us) who may be on the same journey. |
