Introduction You may wonder, "What is up with the fuzzy bear slippers?" When I was in college I had a pair of fuzzy bear slippers which had the amazing power of making me feel strong, confident and empowered. I loved those bear slippers to death (until one of my sibblings spilled orange juice on them and then hid them in a bathroom cupboard; I found them a month later. Needless to say, YUCK.). Now, when I think back on those slippers I still feel a rush of empowerment. A little bit about me... I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, as were both of my parents. Mr. Bear Slippers grew up about 15 miles north of me. Mr. Bear Slippers and I have a daughter (Baby Bear Slippers), who is 9 years old. She is a wonderful child and I always feel blessed to have her in my life. I currently work in an administrative capacity for a Seattle-based non-profit and Mr. Bear Slippers is a student who will hopefully become a professional journalist one of these days. Lastly, as you read my blog you will soon discover that I love to use parentheticals. Please forgive me (I just can't help myself).
Interests I studied art and still dabble a bit. I also love to read, write and watch movies. I have very recently started playing guitar, though I am not at all good and really need to practice more. I am not very athletic, but I do enjoy horseback riding and I want to take up salsa dancing and sea kayaking. I love to travel, though the only place I have been besides the US and Canada is Egypt (and Dubai on a 2 day layover). I loved it and I hope to do much more traveling with Mr. and Baby Bear Slippers in the future.
Favorite Movies I love anything involving the supernatural. I also love Science Fiction and am a huge fan of Star Trek, Star Wars (the original three) and pretty much everything else that falls into this category.
Favorite Music Too eclectic in my tastes to really list them. Not a big fan of R&B/Rap though. I like some of it, but most of it is crap.
Favorite Books My favorite author is Ray Bradbury, my favorite book of his is Fahrenheit 451. I love dystopian themes.

I don't know. How is a raven like a writing desk?
