| Introduction | What can I say about myself? I have been 39 years on this planet, married to a wonderful bloke and currently childless. The reason for this blog is to share my journey in infertility with other couples who have undergone or are undergoing similar thorns in their flesh. I had the misfortune of finding my soul mate late in life (2004 married him at the age of 34). Since then we have embarked on our dream of having our own family but this dream has been elusive. This is why I call this blog Carrying My Cross. I know I am meant to be happy while carrying the cross knowing that the crown awaits me in the end, but the journey nevertheless is crippling. Every step is painful and often you feel a sense of isolation and depression as you suffer loss after loss of your unborn child. It was never meant to be like this. I know I will be able to see the big picture in the end, but for now all I have to cling onto is FAITH.
