Introduction	I am 35 years old and have had quite an adventurous life. I've celebrated a two year anniversary of a major surgical adventure and I'm finally at the point that I'm enjoying the experience. I had RNY Gastric bypass surgery on May 22, 2008. I, like many others, have struggled with weight all of my life. I made the decision this year to take charge and do something about it so that I could live long enough to see my son grow up and actually get to enjoy life with him. It has been a huge struggle and not an easy one. I am, now, proud to say that I made the choice to go through with this decision. I'm also very grateful for the new life I am experiencing as a result of this decision. I can't wait to see how the rest of this adventure unfolds.
Favorite music	I love music. I listen to such a wide variety that I can't bring myself to pick just one song, genre, etc. I don't discriminate!
Favorite books	The only books I get to read these days are the books I read to my son. Of those, I love the Dr. Seuss books, of course.
