Introduction	Here’s the story: I was a young and determined professional in a dream relationship. It was symbiotic, intellectually-stimulating and full of possibilities. Early on, though, something wasn’t right and one day, without warning, I was told I was no longer needed. Someone younger and less expensive was replacing me. No, it wasn’t my boyfriend. It was my boss. Hello! I’m unemployed. Sure, working as an administrative assistant (NOT a secretary) at a large, southern university we’ll just call FU for confidentiality sake was not what I dreamed of as a little girl or imagined while I was squeezing four years into five for my undergraduate degree in a completely unrelated field, but it bought me my daily bread during the best of times and worst of times, which is this economy. I faithfully made the coffee, answered to the wrong name and demonstrated extreme patience with the most trying characters the city had to offer. So here I am. I’d like to offer you a few gems, but I don’t have it in me. So sit back, have a cup of 9 to 5 coffee, twiddle your thumbs and imagine a place that doesn’t so closely resemble hell.
