| Introduction | First beware...I'm a full fledged member of the chattering and educated elites that Prime Minister Harper of Canada and his illustrious Conservatives have labeled me and other Canadians of similar ilk. I live in a beautiful corner of Eastern Ontario on the famous Rideau Canal. I was raised on a 1000 acre conservation area by parents who after finishing university in the 1970's decided to live a simple life in the wilderness where my father taught outdoor education and my mother wrote about the feminist experience in nature. I have three university degrees, work in the education field, and I love this planet and all its beautiful things so much it almost hurts. Each day as I read or watch the news my heart continually sinks at the almost daily bombardment our planet, animal species, and the unfortunate receive at our hands due to our extreme ignorance and apathy. For years I've been seeking a forum to voice my ever increasing concern about our actions and their impact upon our world and lives. I welcome feedback both negative and positive if it's intelligently voiced :-) |
