Introduction	I have competed at the high school and college level in track and cross country. During this time I developed a keen interest in the human body and operating it efficiently. Since finishing my competitive running career, I have had more time to develop my ideas about body optimization and now believe that many if not most commonly held ideas about health and nutrition are incorrect and harmful.
