| Introduction | Shannon Locker graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Photography with a minor in Women’s Studies from Kutztown University. Post college she worked as a studio manager and assistant under the tutelage of master photographer Todd Trice. Shannon has had her work and photography tips featured in articles in USA Today's Guide to Kids Health, Dog Fancy Magazine as well as on a variety of online publications. In addition to her portrait work, Shannon regularly takes on photo journalistic projects and teaches private photography lessons. In recent years Shannon had the unique opportunity to extensively travel the United States managing and photographing various promotions for clients such as Mercedes Benz, Rimmel and Old Navy. Since 2006 Shannon has partnered with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) for an ongoing shelter animal photography project. In 2008 three images from this series were included in a group exhibition titled "Likeable Art" featured at City Hall. Shannon resides in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her two feisty daughters, and their weird cat, Ernie. She is an avid trail runner and currently training for her first ultramarathon. |
