| Introduction | They are nature made and made for nature. They are basenjis - the barkless hound of Africa. My foray into their world began in the early 1990s. I quickly, and thoroughly, educated myself before choosing a reputable breeder. The year was 1994 and I have never looked back, nor regretted opening my heart and home to this wonderful breed. While basenjis fill a large part of my daily life, I try not to forget my creative side - be it writing short stories, rhythmic poetry, drawing on the computer or taking photographs and trying to turn them into a works of art. Which do you prefer and why: whittling with soap or whistling with wood?
Whittling with soap. I would be more able to create something recognizable then any tune I could conjure up wistling.
