| Introduction | ISI - as of 23 June 2010, we had decided to shorten the name to ISI, Islamic Solidarity International! formerly we were known as ISCOFIS - International Solidarity Committee For Islamic Struggle, was formed in 1978 by a group of Malay Students at the University of Aston in Birmingham in response to two major events in the Islamic world, the Soviet involvement in Afghanistan and the rise of Khomeinism within the Iranian civil society. |
