Introduction | I have wanted to be strong and wise and profound. A present-day, female version of King Solomon. I have wanted to author books and direct scripts and move audiences to laughter and tears. I have finally resigned myself to my fate. Sitting here in my bare feet, cross-legged on the floor, in the dust and noise of an entire world passing me by. While I wait. “Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint." I am not particularly strong or wise or profound. I can't answer most of the questions in the world. But I do have a name, a future, a heritage that can never be taken from me. Who am I? I am a daughter. What am I waiting for? My King. |
