InterestsThe Colchester Public Library and Reading Center is a non-profit organization that is run entirely by volunteers and with the use donations (both monetary and materials), as well as grant money. We are open year round and are planning on hosting some events for pre-K through 8th grade students in the coming months. The library contains a vast array of paperback, hardcover, and audio books (on cassette and CD), as well as movies on VHS-tapes and DVD's. We also have a variety of Large Print books, as well as books on loan from the Four County Library System (4CLS)--which are refreshed in January and July of each year. Membership is absolutely FREE! Books can be taken out for up to 2 weeks at a time, and renewed if needed. Children can take out between 2 - 4 library items (depending on their age group). Adults may take out up to 6 library items. The library is also a FREE wi-fi hotspot. There is currently only 1 computer available for public use (which we hope to change in the near future), but you can feel free to bring your laptop or other tablet or mobile device, and one of our library volunteers would be happy to log you in to access our wi-fi during your visit.
