About me

Industry Non-Profit
Location London, United Kingdom
Introduction I joined the WEN board in March 2009. I live in east London, having moved here nine years ago from Quebec City, Canada, where I worked as a translator and editor. I’ve always felt an attachment to nature having grown up in the Irish countryside, but my environmental activism began in earnest in 2006 when I co-founded an informal group with a friend, providing us with a forum to share ideas that would help us and others incorporate lifestyle changes, and contribute to campaigns to effect wider change. I have since worked for the Environmental Justice Foundation, producing a report on child labour in global conventional cotton production, and been involved in The Truth Isn’t Sexy campaign on sex trafficking. After working for a number of years in media, I currently teach French part-time and practice reflexology.
