Introduction I grew up in a small, island community off the coast of New England. Our chief industries were domesticating seals and using their milk in cheese production as well as making sea glass mosaics of our favorite scenes from Hollywood blockbusters. Shortly after my 12th birthday I ran away to become a carny and I traveled with Sedrick’s Greater Shows for four years. At that time my matchbook submission for “Draw Winky” was noticed by the Pawtucket chapter of The Daughter’s of the American Revolution and I was offered a scholarship to Rhode Island School of Design. After two years of intense study (specializing in painting with old crank case oil, used transmission & brake fluids on asbestos lagging) I took some time off to find myself. During that time I worked as a fry cook, roustabout, deckhand, bass player in a Judas Priest tribute band (we were huge in Japan), rodeo clown, monster truck driver, exotic dancer, spent time in a South American jail (I was eventually acquitted), saw the Grateful Dead 93 times, was goalie for two season’s on semi-pro hockey team and started a Neocons for Peace group. I’ve yet to resume my studies at RISD.
