| Introduction | Recently transplanted to Dubai. Spending each day trying not to hate it so much. Most recent 'home' was in the gorgeous mountains of the beautiful region of Badakhshan in Tajikistan. I work for an international development organization so I travel alot, which is why Dubai is home base for now. Also, my husband landed a great job with a, guess what, real estate development company so here we are. |

| Favorite movies | I can never remember movies and I haven't watched that many recently. But I've always loved foreign films--top on the list Cinema Paradiso, Like Water for Chocolate, Central Station and all Pedro Almodovar films. |
| Favorite music | Anything that has a great beat. |
| Favorite books | Again, I read so many books that I don't remember any of them well enough to cite a favorite. Authors that I like are Arundhati Roy, Zadie Smith, VS Naipaul, the fiction section in the New Yorker is king. |
