| Introduction | Hello there! Welcome to my blog. I decided to start writing this blog as a way to journal my feelings, thoughts and faith as we learn live a"new normal"after the loss of our 13 year old daughter to suicide. Since that day, I have prayed for God to show me a way to make something good come from this tragedy. As each day passes, I hear from more and more people about how our faith is "inspiring". I get messages from adults as well as children, asking for my advice for them on how to move forward after my daughter's passing. I decided that rather than using facebook,, I would start writing a blog. I hope you enjoy reading it, as it will be raw, honest and hopefully have some funny twists along the way. Disclaimer: I am just a plain person. I do not consider myself anymore covered by God's grace than the homeless person at the coffee shop. I am a sinner who does her very best to lean on God. Sometimes I fall. Hard. In the first minutes, days and weeks after our daughter passed, Matthew 17:20 has been a go-to verse. Because in those moments, sometimes, a mustard seed is all I have. |
