Introduction	Call her track star, call her Miss Canada 2006 and 2007, or you can call her Torkwase (Tor-kwah-say). You may wonder what the name Torkwase means or where did it come from. Torkwase is a Nigerian name from the Yorba tribe which means Queen. However Torkwase is not African she is of West Indian and South American descent born and raised in Canada. The Toronto native strives to make all things gold whether it’s her athletic career, her personal training business or broadcasting career. Torkwase, a graduate of the University of Oregon had a successful fitness modeling career where she appeared on several television shows and magazines; which she parlayed into a stint as a fitness expert on Rogers TV and other Toronto based stations. In her past time Torkwase works outs 6-7 days a weeks and helps people reach their fitness goals. She loves to travel, read and likes trying anything exciting and new. Torkwase can be heard on Mt.
