Location	Taunton, Somerset, United Kingdom
Introduction	Currently resident in Somerset and Oxfordshire in the UK with some deeply ingrained African dirt. I just love the outdoors - which is a vital part of my life. I am doing up my Georgian house in Taunton - but (much) more slowly than it's value decreases. The garden looks good though! I take things very literally - and people tell me I have the communication problem!!
Interests	Travel,fresh air,cycling,sculling,flying,surfing,photography,astronomy, human nature, why? in general, and flower arranging.
Favorite movies	African Queen, probably. (Hepburn and Bogart - a pretty combustible mix.)
Favorite music	Tinkly stuff with sitars and some drums. Then from Massive Attack to Caccini.
Favorite books	Ummmm, where do I start. Fiction: 'Birds Without Wings' by Louis de Berniere did it for me. Non fiction: Shadows of the Mind by Roger Penrose and The Blank Slate by Stephen Pinker have probably been the most influential. History / Journalism: African Trilogy by Alan Moorehead is outstanding. And for bedtime reading - Winnie the Pooh, of course.
